Acne Facial
– $95 ($135 new client)
A 90 min facial to treat acne, prevent breakouts and heal post acne scarring.
The Acne Facial is perfect for clients who chronically suffer from breakouts and acne, from mild to severe cases. This facial is slightly longer than a custom facial to offer extra time for extractions. For new clients, the first visit is longer. This allows time to discuss skincare, diet, and lifestyle factors that contribute to acne. It also helps build a plan for treatment, including a customized skincare routine.
I suggest that clients wanting to see a big change should commit to recommended home care products. Adhering to treatment guidelines is essential to clearing skin and keeping it clear. Treatments are suggested as a series of 6 treatments every 2 weeks in Acne Bootcamp in order to monitor progress, then every 4 – 6 weeks as maintenance. (see before + afters)

Maintenance and Care
To we can perform the treatment safely and effectively, follow these tips:
- Stop retinol use at least 2 days prior
- Avoid sun exposure when possible for 2 weeks before and after your treatment, (no tanning or baking in the sun on vacation)
- Where sunscreen daily and reapply when in the sun for extended periods, and wear hats if in the sun for long periods of time
- No picking at any peeling skin as it can cause scarring, instead opt for clean nail scissors to snip off dead skin if necessary
- Avoid excessive heat and sweating for at least 48 hours as the skin can be more sensitive (i.e. hot tubs, rigorous exercise, saunas, hot showers, etc.)
- Avoid retinol, exfoliants and benzoyl peroxide for at least 24 hours unless otherwise instructed by your provider
FAQ’s
Is there downtime? If so, how much?
Most people experience minimal peeling, typically light flaking that starts around day 2 or 3 and lasts 1 – 2 days. Everyone’s skin is different, so I always start with a lighter peel in our first visit to see how your skin heals before moving up to stronger Acne Peels.
If you’re nervous about downtime and peeling, I always recommend you plan your first one to be at a time when you don’t have anything important you need to look great for for about a week, just in case you happen to peel more than the average client.
Do extractions hurt?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, and certain areas can be uncomfortable. But I always work with each client and ask them along the way how they’re feeling and if the pressure is too much. We can stop at any time and I can always lighten the pressure if you’re feeling too uncomfortable, so don’t be afraid to let me know! I want this to be an overall enjoyable experience for you too!
Do I have to be in Acne Bootcamp to do the Acne Facial?
No! You can always opt to do the Acne Facial on its own, especially if you just deal with the minor occasional breakout. If biweekly treatments don’t fit into your schedule you can also opt to space out your treatments further. For client’s with more persistent breakouts I recommend starting with Acne Bootcamp to get the acne cycle under control faster, but we can still see improvements with less frequent facials, it may just take a little longer to get your desired results.
Can I do microneedling if I still have active acne?
While I don’t perform microneedling on active acne as it can spread bacteria, it’s a great treatment once you’re clear to treat remaining scarring, especially deeper textured scarring!
Acne peels used in the Acne Facial
I typically use the Face Reality Clear Skin Peel for the acne facials. However, we can use the Bright Skin Peel if you need a more gentle treatment that day.
