A little bit about me...
Hi, I’m Cedar!
I struggled with acne and rosacea since a young age and found it was difficult to find a solution that gave real results. Not to mention, it was draining my bank account to waste money on trendy products that either didn’t do anything, or made my skin worse! This empowered me to research how the skin works to find what ingredients and products would be effective at healing my skin. Growing up with a naturopath as a mother also taught me how important lifestyle and diet is to healing skin conditions. This knowledge proved to be essential to healing my acne. I realized I wanted to further my education and share what I know to help other people feel more confident in their skin, which led me to the field of aesthetics!
I became a Licensed Esthetician in 2023 with Spectrum Advanced Aesthetics, located in Tigard, OR, and immediately went on to get my Certified Advanced Esthetician license in 2024 to expand my knowledge and skills even further. I have since continued my education by becoming a Certified Acne Expert with Face Reality and a licensed service provider of Glymed+, professional grade skincare lines that offer the most efficacious products, and have gained experience working at a reputable med spa in Portland in addition to “Skin by Cedar Avery” (my own practice). While my primary focuses are acne treatment and aging skin I also treat other concerns as well, like rosacea, dryness and skin texture.

What I stand for as a provider…
While making money is great in any career, that’s not why I got into this field. I chose to be an esthetician to help people feel confident, and beautiful, and change their skin the same way I changed mine. My goal is to help everyone see a difference, regardless of budget, and to treat skin from a holistic perspective. This means addressing lifestyle, health and diet issues, as well as other treatment options that I may need to refer out for.
Running an ethical business is so important to me, too. I want my clients to feel like they can trust me to recommend the best products and treatments FOR THEM. This is why I promise to make the best personalized recommendations for each client, and be honest about expected outcomes from each treatment. I’ll also spend time educating you on how to care for your skin, and to recommend other professionals if I think you could benefit from a treatment that I don’t offer.
I can also assure you that I will only provide procedures that I am well trained in, and will always offer the best products I can find on the market. As my client you can expect the best possible, personalized care.
